In FY 2004, MASC contracted with a new mail services provider under the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) Act, Bayaud Industries, Inc., a non-profit employer who specializes in job placement services to handicapped individuals in the Denver area. Bayaud provides training and other assistance to persons with mental, emotional, physical, and economic challenges so that they may be gainfully employed in the local community. Companies like Bayaud provide tremendously diverse products and services, including mail services, custodial services, switchboard operations, data entry, vehicle maintenance, and manufacturing special garments like hospital gowns, disposable coveralls and women's military shirts, parachute harnesses, first aid kits, and a myriad of other items and services. Under the new contract, we welcomed new employees and said sad goodbyes to others. Our current staff is: |
