The mission of this web site is to encourage and assist recycling at the U.S. Department of Commerce Boulder Laboratories campus. Recycling is a way to minimize the impact of our human activity on the natural environment and preserve inherently limited natural resources. The waste reduction that ensues also results in a direct cost-savings to the Labs, preserving our funds for the work at hand. There is also direct revenue from recycling, which is channeled back into our workplace in various ways: to further support on-site recycling, for amenities such as picnic benches, bicycle racks and lockers, and assistance for the Children's Center.
